Our Story
Founded in Kinshasa in 2021, Champion’s Academy RDC brings combat sports and fitness together under one roof.
Train in boxing, kickboxing, MMA or taekwondo, or build your fitness through strength training and step aerobics.

Danyo "Dibuba" Ilunga
5x World Champion Kickboxer | Founder & Head Coach
Danyo "Dibuba" Ilunga is a five-time world champion kickboxer and the visionary founder of Champion's Academy RDC. Born in 1987 in the Democratic Republic of Congo, he rose from the son of a prominent politician and grandson of a local chief to become one of the most decorated kickboxers in African history.

As a child, Danyo's family fled the civil war in the DRC, eventually settling in Germany. Inspired by martial arts legends like Remy Bonjasky and Jean-Claude Van Damme, he began his kickboxing journey at 19 under trainer Asmir Burgic—K-1 Germany Champion.
His relentless dedication earned him five world titles across multiple organizations: the prestigious It's Showtime 95MAX World Championship, WKU World Championship, I.M.C. World Title, and I.K.B.O. World Title. As a GLORY Kickboxing veteran with over 60 wins (45 by knockout), his 2016 fight against Michael Duut was voted 'GLORY Fight of the Year.'
Standing at 1.91m with a record of 60 wins and 45 knockouts, Danyo brought his world-class expertise back to his homeland in 2021, founding Champion's Academy RDC to develop the next generation of Congolese champions and put the DRC on the global combat sports map.
